Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (200g)
  • 1 cup minus 1 finger's worth of granulated sugar (150g)
  • 1 packet of vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

    In a bowl, mix together sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and orange zest until the sugar partially dissolves. Then add the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough. It'll be slightly sticky, so avoid adding more flour. Grease your hands lightly with oil and shape the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, just like in the video. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes. After taking them out of the oven, let them cool for about 10 minutes. Then slice the biscotti and arrange them back on the baking sheet. Bake again at 300°F (150°C) for another 10 minutes. Store them in an airtight container, and they'll stay fresh for weeks!
