Chocolate Cake Cheesecake with Cherries

Ingredients

  • For the Chocolate Cake:
  • 3 eggs
  • 350 grams of flour
  • 250 grams of sugar
  • 200 ml of oil
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • For the Cheesecake Cream:
  • 2 eggs
  • 800 grams of sour cream
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • Additionally:
  • 1 jar of cherries or sour cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F) and grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper. The recommended size is 25cm x 38 cm.
  2. Prepare the Chocolate Cake:
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together 3 eggs with 250 grams of sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add 200 ml of oil and 200 ml of milk while continuing to mix.
  5. Sift in 350 grams of flour, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 1 packet of baking powder. Mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the chocolate cake batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Prepare the Cheesecake Cream:
  8. In another bowl, beat 2 eggs with 150 grams of sugar until smooth.
  9. Add 800 grams of sour cream and mix well.
  10. Stir in 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder until fully incorporated.
  11. Spread the Cheesecake Cream evenly over the chocolate cake batter in the baking pan.
  12. Drain the jar of cherries or sour cherries and distribute them evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  13. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  14. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely before slicing and serving.
