  • 300g sweetened condensed milk (about 3/4 of a 14 oz can)
  • 400g evaporated milk (1 14 oz can)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (or use milk for a lighter cake)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder (start with 1/8 tsp, then adjust)*
  • 35-40 ladyfingers (around 1.5 packs with 24 ladyfingers each)
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream for decoration
  • Optional: freeze-dried strawberries and pistachios for decoration


    Create the three-milk mixture by whisking evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a bowl. Add a small amount of cardamom powder (if using) and adjust the flavor to your liking.
    In a clean dish (approximately 7x11"), tightly stack ladyfingers to form a single layer. Trim the ladyfingers to fill any gaps.
    Using a 1/4 cup measure, generously soak the ladyfingers with half of the milk mixture. The ladyfingers will absorb the liquid.
    Allow 10-20 minutes for the ladyfingers to absorb most of the milk mixture.
    Repeat the soaking process with a second layer of ladyfingers.
    Refrigerate the dish for about 2 hours.
    While it's chilling, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.
    Spread half of the whipped cream over the ladyfingers, using an offset spatula to create an even layer.
    Add any food coloring to the remaining cream if desired. Transfer it to a piping bag and use your preferred piping style to decorate.
    Top the cake with crushed freeze-dried strawberries and chopped pistachios for an extra touch.
    Serve and savor every bite!
