Apple Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread

Apple Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread

This Apple Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread is soft, moist, and unbelievably delicious! You’re going to love it!

You can also make apple cinnamon rolls from the same dough. Just roll the dough sheet with the filling into a log and cut thick slices.

🍎 Recipe:

For the yeast dough:

  • 4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (520 g)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (100 g)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 5 tablespoons soft butter (70 g)
  • 1 cup milk (250 ml)
  • 0.5 ounce dry yeast (14 g, equivalent to two packets)

For the apple filling:

  • 5 apples
  • 7 tablespoons butter (100 g)
  • 1/2 cup brown or white sugar (100 g)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the vanilla glaze:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar (250 g)
  • A small splash of cream
  • A bit of vanilla extract

Ingredients:

Yeast dough:
Knead a dough from all the ingredients, knead it for a few minutes until it’s nice and evenly elastic. Cover the yeast dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours. The dough volume should roughly double.

Filling:
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small pieces.
Slightly warm the butter and mix it with sugar, vanilla sugar, vanilla paste, and cinnamon.

After the dough has risen, roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle approximately 24 inches by 16 inches. Spread the filling evenly over the dough, then distribute the apple pieces over it. Cut everything into small squares (large enough to fit across the loaf pan, about 12 inches long).

Layer the squares in the pan, then bake in a preheated oven at 320°F in a convection oven (or 356°F top and bottom heat) for about 30 minutes.

Stir all the ingredients for the glaze until smooth, then drizzle it over the still-warm Pull Apart Bread. Enjoy! 🍞🍏
