Brownie Pine Cones

Brownie Pine Cones

Creating these delightful treats is a breeze—you basically whip up a batch of my fabulous fudgy brownies, let them cool, shape them into adorable pine cones, fill them with gooey caramel, and finish by adding a crunchy chocolate cereal coating. Check out the full recipe below!

INGREDIENTS:

Brownies:

  • 3/4 cup (170g) butter
  • 7 oz (200g) dark chocolate
  • 1 1/4 cups (160g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup (200g) caster sugar
  • 1/3 cup (60g) light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Filling:

  • 6 tablespoons caramel sauce

Cereal Pine Cone:

  • Coco Pops Chocos

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Begin by melting the dark chocolate and butter in the microwave, heating them in 20-second intervals. Allow the mixture to cool for at least 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, use an electric beater or stand mixer to combine the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy. Gently fold in the slightly cooled chocolate-butter mixture using a spatula.
  3. Sift the flour and cocoa together, add them to the wet ingredients, and fold everything together with a spatula.
  4. Bake at 170°C (fan) for 25 minutes.
  5. Once the brownies have cooled, remove the top crust and break up the remaining brownies into a bowl. Shape the brownies into 6 pine cone forms and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  6. Cut a hole in the top of each pine cone and fill it with caramel sauce. Seal the caramel inside by placing the cut-out brownie piece back on top.
  7. Starting from the top, insert chocolate cereal into the brownies all the way around, and continue this process in rows until you reach the bottom. Enjoy your adorable and delicious chocolate pine cones!
