It doesn’t get more Christmas than eggnog
Delicious Eggnog Poke Cake
Ingredients:
- Cooking spray, for pan
- 1 box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box
- 2 (5.1-oz) boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 1/2 c. eggnog
- 1/2 c. spiced rum
- 3 c. whipped topping, such as Cool Whip
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Pinch nutmeg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º and grease and flour a 9″-x-13″ cake pan. Prepare cake mix according to box instructions. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 26 to 28 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare pudding: In a small bowl, whisk together pudding packets, eggnog, and rum until thick. Set aside.
Using the bottom of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake. Spread pudding mixture on top. Top with whipped topping and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Slice and serve.
