Ingredients

  • 2 quinces
  • 2 cups pomegranate or grape juice
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 7-8 cloves

Instructions

  1. Peel and halve the quinces, then remove the cores.
  2. In a pot, place the quince peels, cores, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Arrange the quince halves on top.
  3. Pour the granulated sugar and pomegranate or grape juice over the quinces.
  4. Cover and cook for 30-35 minutes until the quinces are tender.
  5. Remove the cooked quinces from the pot.
  6. Strain the liquid in the pot and simmer for another 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
