  • 1 stick of butter (melted)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2.5 cups of flour
  • For the frosting:
  • 1 stick of butter (at room temperature)
  • 10 ounces of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

Instructions

Let's get baking! First, we'll beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Then, we'll add in the oil, melted butter, and buttermilk, along with the red food coloring. Next, we'll sift in all the dry ingredients and mix until combined. We'll fill our cupcake liners with the batter and bake them at 350°F for about 20 minutes.

While the cupcakes bake, we'll whip up the frosting. Just beat together the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth, then transfer it to a piping bag and chill in the fridge.
