If you find white yoghurt in the fridge just before the guarantee and can’t manage to eat it – I recommend this simple, quick and mega tasty cake. It may look like gingerbread, but it’s not gingerbread. It is, however, so delicious you’ll be licking yourself behind the ears.
Moist and Delicious Chocolate Walnut Cake
- 1 cup semi-coarse flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup ground walnuts
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup white yoghurt (approx. 2 x 140g yoghurts)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2PL rum
- Mix all ingredients A in one bowl.
- In another bowl, mix these ingredients B by hand with a whisk
- Mix and then gradually pour this Ingredients B mixture into the Ingredients A mixture and combine.
- Pour onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for approx 25 mins at 180°C.
- Once baked, leave to cool and finally drizzle with the topping you prepare as follows:Heat 150ml of whipping cream, but do not boil. Then pour in 200 g of dark chocolate and stir.
