No Bake Chocolate Vanilla Layer Cake

Ingredients

for the base:

  • 20 butter cookies

for the vanilla cream:

  • 1.5 l milk
  • 150 g cornstarch
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 pck. vanilla sugar
  • 160 g butter

for the chocolate layer:

  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 600 g cream

Instructions

  • Place a pastry on a baking tray lined with baking paper (size approx. 35 x 26) and spread the butter cookies in it.
  • Stir 250 ml milk with cornstarch, sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to the boil, slowly stir in the starch mixture. Simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in butter completely.
  • Spread cream evenly over butter cookies, smooth and let cool in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Coarsely chop the dark chocolate. In a saucepan, bring cream to a boil and then briefly stir in the chocolate pieces. Let cool slightly and then pour evenly over the milk filling.
  • Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight.
