  • 1 cup (221 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup (157 grams) dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (56 grams) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (16 grams) vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (104 grams)
  • 1 small box (96 grams) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 1/4 cups (302 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (6 grams) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup (165 grams) dark chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup (165 grams) Valentine M&M's
  • Flaky sea salt for finishing


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and dark brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, beat in the vanilla extract and instant vanilla pudding mix.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  6. Stir in the dark chocolate chips and Valentine M&M's until they're evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  7. Form 90-gram balls of dough and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown while the centers remain soft.
  9. While the cookies are still hot, gently scoot them to make them thick and round. Place a bowl larger than the cookie on top, then swirl the bowl in a circular motion to create perfectly shaped thicker cookies. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet. Enjoy the deliciousness!
