Apple Cider Donut Holes

Apple Cider Donut Holes

These are the ultimate weekend breakfast treat! They’re incredibly quick and easy to make, and the taste is absolutely incredible. We can’t resist enjoying them warm right out of the oven, especially after they’ve been rolled in that sweet cinnamon sugar coating. Mmm, so good!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 2/3 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons of applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/2 cup of apple cider

Cinnamon/Sugar Coating:

  • 5 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, melted butter, and brown sugar. Then, add the buttermilk, applesauce, vanilla, and apple cider.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Pour the batter into lightly greased mini muffin tins, filling each muffin cup about 3/4 full. Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.
  5. While the donut holes are baking, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. In another bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Once the donut holes come out of the oven, dip the top of each one into the melted butter, followed by a dip into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

These delectable donut holes are the perfect way to start your weekend morning! Enjoy! 😋🍩
