Not only children love the fantasy cake! The sour cream on the cake is mixed with tangerines and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar at the end. A creamy treat for young and old.
Absolutely delicious and very simple cake! I was amazed at how fresh it tastes and although there is plenty of sugar, it was not too sweet for me. This is a cake that I will definitely make again in the summer.
Fanta cake with Tangerine Sour Cream
FOR THE DOUGH:
- 125 g soft butter or margarine
- 200 g sugar
- 1 pck. vanilla sugar
- 4 eggs (size M)
- 300 g flour
- 1 pck. Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 200 ml Fanta orange
- some butter
FOR THE CREAM:
- 400 g cream
- 2 pck. cream stiffener
- 600 g Sour cream
- 50 g sugar
- 2 pck. vanilla sugar
- 3 cans Tangerines (drained weight: 175 g per can)
- 1 - 2 TSP. Cinnamon
- 3 TBSP. Sugar
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees (convection oven:160 degrees). For the dough, mix butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs. Mix flour with baking powder and salt and add to the dough. Add orange soda and mix everything together. Line a baking tray (39x26x4 cm) with baking paper or grease it. Pour in dough and bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes. Let cool completely.
- For the cream, whip cream with cream stiffener according to package instructions until stiff and set aside. Mix sour cream with sugar and vanilla sugar. Fold in the cream. Drain the tangerines and fold into the cream. Spread the cream on the cooled pastry base and smooth it down.
- Mix cinnamon with sugar and sprinkle over the cream. Chill until ready to serve.
