Marzipan Delight Twists


  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • Filling:
  • 600 g marzipan paste
  • 50 g chopped almonds
  • 2 egg whites
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • Additionally:
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk
  • 50 g chopped almonds
  • Decoration:
  • Powdered sugar
  • 200-300 g melted cake icing or chocolate coating


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for both upper and lower heat settings.

Mix the marzipan paste, chopped almonds, egg whites, milk, and powdered sugar together for the filling.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into small rectangles.

Place a portion of the filling onto each rectangle of puff pastry and roll them up into sticks.

Brush the tops of the sticks with a mixture of egg yolk and milk, then sprinkle chopped almonds on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Once cooled, decorate the sticks with powdered sugar and melted icing or chocolate coating.
