Fluffy Chocolate Croissants for breakfast 😍😊

These croissants are incredibly delicious and super easy to make! 😍😊

Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients for 16 croissants:

For the Dough:

  • 240ml (1 cup) Milk
  • 100g (1/2 cup) Butter
  • 90g (1/3 cup) Sour Cream
  • 60g (1/4 cup) Sugar
  • 1 packet of Vanilla Sugar
  • a Pinch of Salt
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 550g (4 1/3 cups) All-Purpose Flour
  • 4g (1/2 packet) Dry Yeast

For the Filling:

  • 150g-200g (2/3 – 3/4 cup) Chocolate Cream

For Brushing:

  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 2 tbsp Milk

Powdered Sugar

  1. Gently warm the milk with the butter in a pot until the butter melts.
  2. Knead the lukewarm milk with the remaining dough ingredients into a smooth dough (about 10 minutes with a kitchen machine).
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 1 hour.
  4. Divide the dough in half and roll each into a large circle (about 30-40cm in diameter).
  5. Cut each into 8 equally-sized triangles, then make a small cut on each side as shown in the video.
  6. Spread about 1 tsp of chocolate cream on the wide side of each triangle and roll them up.
  7. Let the croissants rest, covered, for 30 minutes, and preheat the convection oven to 180°C (355°F) in the meantime.
  8. Mix the egg yolk with milk and brush it over the croissants.
  9. Bake the croissants for about 15 minutes with steam.
  10. Dust the slightly cooled croissants with powdered sugar as desired.
