Delicious Oreo Cupcakes

  • 12 Muffin tins
  • 125 g soft butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 pck. vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 180 g flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Cocoa powder
  • 2 TSP. baking powder
  • 75 ml milk
  • 12 Oreo cookies

  • 200 g cream
  • 100 g soft butter
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 18 Oreo – cookies

For the dough, mix butter with both kinds of sugar. Stir in eggs. Preheat oven to 180 degrees (convection oven: 160 degrees). Mix flour with salt, cocoa powder and baking powder and stir into the dough alternately with the milk. Roughly chop the Oreo cookies and fold into the batter. Line the troughs of a muffin tin with muffin cups. Using an ice cream scoop, divide the batter among the cups. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. Let cool completely.

For the frosting, whip cream until stiff and set aside. Mix butter with cream cheese and powdered sugar. Separate Oreo cookie halves from 6 cookies. Scrape out white cream with a knife and add to butter cream cheese frosting.

Place the cookie halves from the 6 cookies into a freezer bag. Close the bag tightly and crumble the cookies with a rolling pin. Stir the fine crumbs into the butter-cream cheese cream. Finally, fold in the cream. Place the cream in a piping bag with a star-shaped nozzle. Close the piping bag tightly at the top. Then pipe a cream topping onto each cupcake.

For decoration, set aside the remaining 12 Oreo cookies and place an Oreo cookie on top of each cupcake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Grind Oreos very finely!
It is very important that the crumbs of the Oreos are ground very fine. Otherwise, the piping nozzle will clog at the end of the piping bag and the cream will not spread well on the cupcakes.
