Mini Nutella French Toast Roll Ups

Are you on the hunt for a breakfast that takes you back to your carefree childhood days? Do you have a soft spot for Nutella but want to enjoy it without the guilt of eating it straight from the jar? Are you eager to wow your loved ones with a delightful and seemingly fancy recipe that’s actually a breeze to make? Look no further!

These mini Nutella French toast roll-ups are a taste of heaven in every bite. They sport a crispy outer layer, a soft and fluffy interior, and a creamy Nutella filling that simply melts in your mouth. They’re just perfect for dipping in some maple syrup, a dollop of whipped cream, or yes, even more Nutella (because there’s no such thing as too much Nutella)!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Sliced white bread (a loaf)
  • 3/4 cup of whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons of caster sugar
  • A jar of Nutella

Now, let’s whip them up:

  1. Begin by taking a slice of bread and trimming off the crust from each side.
  2. Roll out the slice of bread using a rolling pin, making sure it’s as thin as possible to create those cute mini roll-ups.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon of Nutella evenly across the bread, then roll it up tightly and gently cut it in half.
  4. In a bowl, combine 2 eggs, 3/4 cup of milk, and 2 tablespoons of caster sugar. Whisk everything together using a fork until it’s nicely combined.
  5. Dip the French toast roll-ups into the egg mixture, then fry them on low heat until both sides turn a lovely shade of brown (just be careful not to let them burn).
  6. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over your French toast roll-ups, and serve them up with some maple syrup or even more Nutella. Enjoy!
