Tiramisu in a Cup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of strong brewed Coffee (240ml)
  • 12-18 Savoiardi biscuits (Ladyfingers)
  • 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur, marsala, or brandy (if you’re feeling fancy, otherwise, skip it)
  • 1 cup of cold Heavy cream (240ml)
  • 1 cup of Mascarpone at room temperature (225g)
  • 1/2 cup of Powdered sugar (60g)
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for a nice dusting

Instructions:

  1. First things first, whip up some coffee syrup: Mix your hot coffee with the liqueur if you’re using it, then pour it into a large dish. Set it aside to cool.
  2. Now, let’s tackle the creamy goodness. Grab a large bowl and whip up the heavy cream with the vanilla extract and powdered sugar until it’s nice and stiff. In a separate bowl, give your room-temperature mascarpone a little beating. Now, gently fold that fluffy whipped cream into the mascarpone. The result should be a heavenly cream mixture. Transfer it into a piping bag and set it aside.
  3. Time to assemble your tiramisu cups: Dip those ladyfingers into your coffee mixture, and lay them at the bottom of your cup or jar. If you need to break them into pieces to fit, go right ahead. Pipe a layer of your creamy mixture, add another layer of those dipped ladyfingers, and keep layering – cream, cookies, cream, cookies, and finally, cream, right up to the top of the cup.
  4. Cover up your little creation and let it chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or, even better, overnight. This gives all those lovely flavors a chance to mingle.
  5. Just before serving, don’t forget to give your tiramisu cup a generous dusting of cocoa powder. Then, savor the delight of your homemade individual tiramisu.
